These freshwater pearls are set in brass with flowing lines and asymmetrical teardrop lines curving around the stone. Each brass line design element in these earrings was hand cut, hammered into shape and soldered into place. They have a sterling silver earring post and are indicative of the pearls used in the Rococo Era. Pear shaped pearls were extremely common in the mid 1700s used in chandelier earrings.
